What disk images/file types are supported? (i.e. What is an ADF, IPF etc.?)

ADF: The most common disk image format used by emulators. An ADF (Amiga Disk File) is a virtual copy of a real Amiga Floppy Disk (usually AmigaDOS formatted / non-copy protected) and are normally 880kb (901120 bytes) in size. See wikipedia for more info.

IPF: Another disk format created by the Software Preservation Society (formally know as CAPS - Classic Amiga Preservation Society). An IPF (Interchangeable Preservation Format) file is an exact replica of an original floppy disk including copy protection, custom disk formats. This format was created so all floppy games can be preserved before the original disks become unreadable (lost for good). See Software Preservation Society website - Knowledge Base page for more info.

To add IPF support to WinUAE, then visit the Software Preservation Society website at http://www.softpres.org and download the Windows User Library from the downloads page (Click download and then on Windows next to Download User Library), Open the ipflib_w32.zip file and extract and copy CAPSImg.dll to your WinUAE directory (default location is: C:\Program Files\WinUAE)
